2 arrested in Davidson County lawn furniture thefts

THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Deputies with the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office have arrested two men they say stole lawn furniture from homes across the county.

Brian Douglas Blount, 47, and Jeffery Lee Pierce, 31, both of Lexington, were charged with breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering. They were also served with outstanding warrants from Randolph County for possession of stolen goods and obtaining property by false pretense.

Deputies began investigating the suspects on April 14 after receiving multiple reports of lawn furniture thefts throughout the county, according to a release.

During their investigation, deputies were able to recover some of the stolen property from a business in Thomasville. According to a release, Blount and Pierce sold the property to the business.

Both suspects received a $70,000 secured bond for the Davidson County charges and a $10,000 secured bond for the Randolph County charges.
