Police conducting homicide investigation in Eden

EDEN, N.C. — Police are conducting a homicide investigation on Anderson Street in Eden.

According to Rockingham County 911, Eden police responded to 624 Anderson St. at 12:23 Tuesday morning.

Eden Deputy Chief Greg Light said a body was found in front of the home and at least five shell casings were found nearby in the street.

Police obtained warrants to search the home and a car on the premises, according to Light.

Authorities are calling this an “extensive crime scene” and said they are going to be on the scene for several hours.
