Victim in assault at Lexington gas station dies from injuries; 2 suspects wanted for murder

LEXINGTON, N.C. — The victim in Tuesday’s assault at a Lexington gas station died from his injuries Thursday.

The victim, 24-year-old Christopher Eason of Lexington, died at from his injuries at North Carolina Baptist Medical Center.

Quadarius Shaquille Kirkland, 23, and Jeramie Jamar Santiago, 25, both of Lexington, are now wanted for murder.

Officers were dispatched to Bass Food Mart, located at 817 Cotton Grove Road, at 3:53 p.m. Tuesday.

A male victim, later identified as Eason, sustained life-threatening injuries in an assault and was found lying in the parking lot of the gas station, according to Lexington police.

Eason was initially transported to Lexington Medical Center, then airlifted by AirCare to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
