Suspect sought for home break-ins in Randolph County

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man accused of breaking into multiple houses.

Jeffrey Lee Needham, 33, of Asheboro, is wanted for breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, obtaining property by false pretense, felony larceny and two counts of possession of stolen goods.

According to Sheriff Robert Graves, Needham is suspected of breaking into two separate residences in Asheboro and taking approximately $8,650 worth of property between April 10 and April 12.

Needham is accused of breaking into a residence on Old N.C. 49 and taking two weed eaters and a leaf blower, valued at $1,150. These items have since been recovered, Graves said.

Needham is also accused of breaking into a residence on Pisgah Covered Bridge Road and taking a Honda ATV, valued at $7,500. The ATV has not yet been located, Graves said.
