HOUSTON — Video of an eager 2-year-old boy thanking U.S. service members is melting the hearts of thousands.

The toddler, named Sawyer, rushes up to the uniformed service members and shakes their hands.

Sawyer was traveling with the UNC men’s basketball team on their trip to Houston for the Final Four. Their plane had just landed.

Sawyer’s uncle, Chris Frederick, who posted the video, encouraged those touched by the video to donate to a military charity.

The video was posted last week and has been viewed more than 100,000 times. It has also been featured on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.”

Sawyer’s father, Brad Frederick, is the director of basketball operations for the UNC men’s basketball team.
