Pizza delivery driver strikes pedestrian in Graham

GRAHAM, N.C. — At approximately 9 p.m. Wednesday, a pizza delivery driver traveling on Town Branch Road in Graham struck a pedestrian near Carter Road, not far from Graham High School.

The pedestrian was pushing a bicycle and was partially in the roadway when he was struck.

The pedestrian was transported to Alamance Regional Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Lt. Pete Acosta of Graham police says the delivery driver stopped to help the victim and made the initial call to 911.

Police have ruled out drugs and alcohol as a cause of the accident.

No charges or citations have been issued and the investigation continues.
