Thomasville man wanted for stealing vehicle in Randolph County

RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — The Randolph County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance locating a Thomasville man wanted in connection with a vehicle theft.

Lucas Anthony Powers, 32, of Marvin Drive in Thomasville, is wanted for larceny of a motor vehicle, two counts of breaking or entering a vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, misdemeanor larceny and possession of stolen property.

Authorities say, on April 4 Powers stole a 2001 burgundy Suzuki Esteem, with the North Carolina license plate DDE-2610, from the parking lot of the Sheetz located at 5905 Finch Farm Road in Trinity.

Powers is still on the run and authorities are asking that anyone with information regarding his whereabouts contact the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office at (336) 318-6699 or Crimestoppers at (336) 672-7463.
