WENTWORTH, N.C. — Two men facing charges of prostitution of mentally disabled girls appeared in Rockingham County Superior Court Monday. Both had their cases continued.

Mickey Dale Snow, 75, of 318 Bearslide Court in Eden, is charged with six counts of statutory rape and six counts of patronizing a prostitute who is a mentally disabled person. Donnie Ray Carter, 56, of Eden, is charged with two counts of indecent liberties with a child, one count of patronizing a prostitute and two counts of statutory rape.

Both are facing charges in connection to an Eden prostitution ring involving two sisters who were traded for sex by their mother, police contend.

In Superior Court on Monday, Rockingham County District Attorney Craig Blitzer told Judge Stanley Allen he would like to set Snow’s case for trial in July, provided that a murder case did not conflict with the attorneys’ schedules.
