LOST HILLS, Calif. — A California driver was struck by a tour bus Monday after nearly going over the side of a cliff.

Deputies with the Malibu-Lost Hills Sheriff’s Department responded to a wreck on Malibu Canyon Road at 4:30 p.m., according to the station’s Facebook page.

The disoriented driver exited his SUV, which was teetering on the side of the cliff, and was then hit by a passing tour bus.

He was conscious and breathing when deputies arrived on the scene, the post said. The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.

“This is another reminder of the need to drive safely through the canyons of our beautiful area and to use extreme caution at the scene of a traffic collision,” the Facebook post read.

The crash is still under investigation.
