1 injured in overnight shooting in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police are investigating an overnight shooting that sent one person to the hospital.

Officers with the Greensboro Police Department responded to 1409 S. Elm-Eugene St. in reference to a shooting in front of Uptown Pizza and Wings around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

The victim told police he was riding his dirt bike in the area when he heard gunfire and realized he’d been shot.

According to police, the victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

At this point, police are still trying to locate a crime scene and gather suspect information.
