GREENSBORO, N.C. – B. Christopher’s Steakhouse in Greensboro will reopen Monday after a car crashed into it on Tuesday night.

Chris Russell, owner of B. Christopher’s Steakhouse at 201 N. Elm St., said no customers were inside when two cars collided, pushing one through a window and inside his restaurant.

“We’re very thankful that no one was in harm’s way,” Russell said.

Russell said three or four staff members were inside at the time and he was closest to the car.

“Probably three or four feet,” he said. “It was close. A little too close.”

A police report shows that the two cars sustained $19,000 damage total. The restaurant said they sustained $180,000 worth of damage.

One person has been cited for failing to stop at a steady red light, Greensboro police said.
