GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Greensboro police are investigating a home invasion at the Well-Spring Retirement Community.

Police say two residents were injured during the Thursday afternoon invasion and required medical attention. The victims have been released from the hospital. Police say the incident was reported around 12:45 p.m. and the thieves were able to get away with cash.

Police are trying to find the two people responsible and have a vague description of the individuals.

Following the incident, campus management has increased patrol officers, put restrictions on entrances and are in the process of putting in two security gates, according to a letter sent to residents.

In that same letter, management states: “The safety of our residents is a primary focus of everything we do at Well-Spring and we are grateful we were able to respond quickly.”
