Crews clean up road after large tree falls in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A portion of Old Battleground Road in Greensboro is closed as crews clean up after a large tree fell.

The tree was reported down shortly after 11:30 a.m. Easter Sunday near the Guilford Courthouse National Park, according to officials.

Greensboro crews cleaned the tree up on Old Battleground Road and said the base of the tree was rotten, causing it to fall.

The roadway is expected to be open at about 4 p.m.
