Burlington police search for second car in fatal hit-and-run

BURLINGTON, N.C. – A 68-year-old man is dead after a fatal hit-and-run that might have involved more than one car Saturday night.

Officers responded to the 1100 block of Sharpe Road just after 9:00 p.m. and found a pedestrian dead in the road.

Police identified the victim as Charles Dennis Kinsey.

While investigating, determined that Delonte Jamal Harris, 21, had struck Kinsey in the roadway while driving his 2005 Chrysler Town and Country.

Witnesses told officers that a beige or tan sedan might have also be involved.

Police said that this is an ongoing investigation and Harris is cooperating with officers.
