Illegal immigrant accused of rape in Missouri arrested in Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. – A man accused of raping a woman at gunpoint in Kansas City, Missouri has been arrested by U.S. Marshals in Greensboro.

Esmin Flores-Rodriguez, 19, was allegedly one of two suspects who kidnapped and raped a woman at gunpoint Jan. 9 in Kansas City.

The U.S. Marshals Service in Kansas City worked with the Kansas City Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Service in Baltimore and the U.S. Marshals Service in Greensboro.

The suspect was found to be working in the Greensboro area and was taken into custody based on his immigration status. He is an illegal immigrant, according to the U.S. Marshals.

He was taken to the Forsyth County Jail and held administratively by ICE. The suspect was charged Wednesday and faces various charges including first-degree inflicting serious injury while displaying a dangerous weapon, two counts of sodomy in the first degree.
