PALM BEACH, Fla. — Have you ever wondered what one of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s homes actually looks like?
Well, there are plenty of photos of Trump’s luxurious business, the Mar-a-Lago Club, which doubles as a private home. However, very little of the private portion of Mar-a-Lago is ever photographed.
The home is so extravagant that the New York Times compared it to the Palace of Versailles.
The home is filled with glittering chandeliers, oriental rugs and 16th century Flemish tapestries, according to Fortune.
Trump originally purchased the home for less than $10 million, but now it’s estimated to be worth $200-300 million.
Mar-a-Lago was built in 1923 and opened in 1927. The American architect Marion Sims Wyeth, who designed other mansions in the area, was responsible for designing the estate.
When the original owner died in 1985, her daughters sold the property and the furnishings to Trump.
When Trump and his former wife Ivana divorced, he kept the property.
Now, he runs the club out of a portion of the home. Fortune reported that the initiation fee for the club is $100,000 and annual dues are $14,000.
Here are just a few photos from Mar-a-Lago Club:
