JULIAN, N.C. -- Fire officials say they are investigating a fire at a mobile home in Julian as a possible arson.

Crews from four departments responded to the mobile home, located 5404 Coble Church Road, around 2 a.m. Thursday.

When firefighters arrived the mobile home was engulfed in flames.

According to Southeast Fire Department Chief Chris Sizemore, there was no chance of saving the structure so firefighters focused on getting the flames under control.

Sizemore said the tenants had recently been evicted and the door to the mobile home was padlocked.

Investigators are taking samples to determine whether this is, in fact, arson.
