Police investigating after dog found dead in cage wrapped in plastic

FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. — The Upper Dublin Township Police Department in Pennsylvania is conducting an investigation after a dog was found dead inside a cage wrapped in plastic.

According to a post on their Facebook page, officers were called to Welsh and Blair Mill roads where they discovered a dead pit bull terrier. Authorities said they believe the tortured dog was between 6 months and 1 year old.

The cage, where the dog was found, had been wrapped in plastic and sealed with tape. Police also found a piece of drywall, which they believe was used as bedding.

Police are still trying gather information in this case.
