NC high school student accused of biting off part of another student’s ear

RALEIGH, N.C. – A North Carolina high school student is accused of biting off part of another student’s earlobe.

The News & Observer reported that Amber Monay Romero, 18, of Raleigh, was charged with assault inflicting serious bodily injury on Thursday night.

The incident allegedly happened earlier this month on a school bus taking students from East Wake High School in Wendell.

The suspect allegedly bit off a large portion of a 16-year-old girl’s right earlobe in a fight on March 4, according to a warrant.

The fight also involved slapping and hair-pulling, according to the paper.

The suspect was jailed in lieu of $15,000 bail and had a court appearance Friday.
