Arrest made in Winston-Salem armed robbery

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Police have made an arrest in connection with Wednesday’s armed robbery at a Winston-Salem business.

Reginald Louis Johnson, 52, was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of second-degree kidnapping.

Officers were called to the Craft Cleaners, located at 2129 S. Main St., around 2:30 p.m. in reference to an armed robbery.

According to police, the suspect entered the business and demanded money from employees, while threatening them with a knife.

The suspect fled the scene in a was later apprehended late Wednesday evening.

Johnson is being held in the Forsyth County Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond. His next court date is March 24.
