MOORESVILLE, N.C. — A man died after being ejected from a race car he was test driving in Rowan County, according to authorities.

The Salisbury Post reported that the victim was dead when emergency responders, highway patrol and firefighters got to the scene. His identity has not been released.

The driver reportedly ran off the right side of the road, went through the yard of a company and hit an embankment.

The vehicle was described as a “custom made” race car with a Camaro body-style. The victim was from Canada and originally wanted to take the car back with him, according to WNCN.
