Investigators searching for suspect in Rockingham County strong armed robbery

MADISON, N.C. — Rockingham County Sheriff’s investigators are asking for the public’s help identifying and locating a suspect in a strong armed robbery that happened early Monday morning.

The strong armed robbery happened around 3:30 a.m. at the Huddle House Restaurant located at 2301 U.S. 220 in Stokesdale.

Witnesses told investigators that the suspect, who referred to himself as “money,” grabbed a $100 bill from the cash register while paying for a cup of coffee.

The robber then ran out the front door of the restaurant and got into a green or gray-colored, older model four-door Toyota.

Investigators are currently working on getting security footage of the incident.
