FALLSTON, N.C. — Officials told WSOC that a husband and wife died after a truck slammed into their Cleveland County home late Sunday night, causing an explosion.

Police said that a pick-up truck crashed into the home on East Stagecoach Trail in Fallston around 10 p.m. Sunday. The truck apparently struck propane tanks, triggering the explosion.

The two victims, whose names have not been released, lived in the home. They were rushed to the hospital with critical injuries but were pronounced dead early Monday morning.
