SANTEE, Calif. -- A cat in California recently survived an 8-mile ride with its head hanging out the front bumper of a car.
The woman driving the car didn't realize anything was wrong until several Good Samaritans flagged her down.
When she finally pulled over, the woman found the cat stuck in her bumper, according to a Facebook post from the San Diego Department of Animal Services.
An animal control officer was called to take the cat to a local shelter where veterinarians determined it was perfectly healthy.
The 5-year-old lynx point Siamese was microchipped so it was quickly reunited with its owner.
