It's great when a student has brains, drive and poise.

It's even better when that student develops those characteristics at a young age.

Pressie Lyles, a fifth grader at Allen Jay Preparatory in High Point is proving a positive attitude and getting involved is helping her stay focused and on top of her game.

Pressie says watching her mother complete coursework for a nursing program inspired her to want to get in the medical field in the future.
