Greensboro’s Rhiannon Giddens in running for Grammy Award

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Monday could be Rhiannon Giddens’ turn.

Giddens, a native of Greensboro, will find out whether her acclaimed first solo album, “Tomorrow is My Turn,” wins the Grammy Award for Best Folk Album.

She has traveled from her home in Limerick, Ireland, to California for the awards ceremony.

Awards in her category will be among those presented before tonight’s live telecast. That Premiere Ceremony will be streamed live online.
