WASHINGTON — A baby has to learn how to walk, and, well, pandas have to learn how to climb trees.

The Smithsonian’s National Zoo in Washington posted a video to Facebook Monday panda cub Bei Bei trying to climb a tree.

Bei Bei made it about half way up before his mom, Mei Xiang, came to the rescue and helped him ease back down the pine tree.

He’s just 6 months old yet so this was a pretty good first climb.
