CRYSTAL RIVER, Fla. — An estimated 300 manatees were caught on video huddling together to stay warm Monday morning in Three Sisters Springs, Fla.

In the video, which was posted to a Citrus County Facebook page, the mammals can be seen popping their heads out of the water for air ever so often.

Monday afternoon wildlife officials announced that Three Sisters Springs would be closed so visitors would not disturb the manatees while they are resting.

Wildlife officials plan to reassess the situation early Tuesday morning and decide whether the spring will re-open to the public.
