Man found shot in Winston-Salem dies from injuries, police looking for suspect

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A man who was found shot in Winston-Salem early Saturday morning has died from his injuries and police are looking for the suspect.

Robert Bradford Hall, 35, of Lexington, was found lying on the sidewalk with a gunshot wound to his abdomen, according to police.

Police said they were called to the 300 block of W. 4th Street on a reported shooting shortly before 1:30 a.m. Saturday.

Hall was taken to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in critical condition. He died later that day.

Police are looking for a man who allegedly fled the area. He was described as a black male in his 20s with an average height and medium build and wearing an orange toboggan. Police said he had a handgun.

Winston-Salem police said this is the city’s first homicide of the year, as compared to zero for the same time period last year.
