KERNERSVILLE, N.C. — Two juveniles were taken to the hospital after being hit by a vehicle Friday morning in Kernersville.

According to the Kernersville Police Department, officers responded to the 1000 block of Abbots Creek Circle around 8:28 a.m. after receiving a call about a vehicle hitting two pedestrians.

The juveniles were hit by a blue 2003 Ford F-150 while walking through a parking lot.

Both were taken to Brenner’s Children’s Hospital, one with minor injuries and the other with serious injuries.

Authorities said neither alcohol nor speed appear to be a factor in the collision.

The Kernersville Police Department’s Traffic Reconstruction Unit is still investigating the incident.
