Panthers inspire family of baby facing rare disease

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — It’s tough to find a stronger person than Hannah Peters. At 23 years old, she’s found herself playing more roles than just mom.

“We kind of feel like we have taken on the role of parents, nurses and therapists,” Peters said.

Every day, she is challenged with caring for someone who is no stranger to challenges. Her son, Jude Sullivan Peters, was born with a rare and lethal form of dwarfism called Rhizomelic chondrodysplasia punctata (RCDP). Fewer than 60 kids have it across the world.
