High Point woman crowdfunding for military wife sister injured in robbery

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- A High Point woman is trying to raise money to help buy her sister a handicap accessible van.

Her sister Dawn Weiss was shot in the back during a home invasion while her two daughters watched in 2007.

Weiss’ husband  was serving in the military in Kuwait at the time of the shooting.

The family now needs a new van and Shelly Pulliam is starting a social media campaign to help buy them one.
