ROCKY MOUNT, Va. — Police in Rocky Mount, Va., are investigating after an infant was found dead in a dumpster Tuesday evening.

According to WDBJ7, Rocky Mount police were called to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a suspicious person was admitted.

Investigators interviewed the patient who had been admitted for severe vaginal bleeding consistent with giving birth.
