LAURINBURG, N.C. — Two teenage boys have been charged after authorities said three North Carolina children were shot and injured at a teen girl’s birthday party.

WNCN reported that the shooting happened at about 9 p.m. Friday at a home in Laurinburg.

Kenneth Maurice Quick Jr., 16, and Jonathan Taylor Martinez, 17, have been charged in connection to the shooting.

Three children were shot in the leg as the shots were reportedly fired at the party from across the street. Gunshots also hit the home and went through walls, according to the report.

Authorities said about 15 children were in the front yard of the home at the time of the shooting.

Quick faces various charges including assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injuries. His bond was set at $200,000.

Martinez was charged with conspiracy and accessory after the fact. He was given a $100,000 bond.
