GREENSBORO, N.C. – There are a lot of big Carolina Panthers fans out there and every single one of them have their reasons why they love the Panthers.
Ronald Wilson is the Pastor of Kingdom Vision Life Center in Greensboro. He has been a Panthers fan since day one and he’s overjoyed at what his congregation did to help him enjoy Superbowl 50.
Thanks to his wife, he was able to attend both the Divisional Playoff game versus the Seahawks and the NFC Championship game against the Cardinals.
He says those two games were lifetime experiences but his wife took it one step farther.
“My husband’s given up every Sunday for the last 20 years”, Rachel Wilson told FOX8. “So why not give him a couple of Sundays back to do what he loves. He’s very passionate about God, No. 1, but he’s absolutely passionate for football.
For me I was like, we absolutely have to get him at the Super Bowl.”
She rallied the church congregation to help her do it one more time.
“For him this is actually one of his bucket lists… this is a dream that come true,” Rachel said.
At a weeknight gathering on Tuesday, Rachel and the congregation surprised Ronald with a trip to the Super Bowl.
“He didn’t just get any ticket. He’s gonna be in the lower level in the Super Bowl. He gets to meet and greet the NFL players, he gets to go to signing event, he gets to go to the NFL theme park,” Rachel said.
Ronald was speechless.
His wife and new baby are also making the trip to the Bay Area with him to enjoy the Super Bowl festivities… with one exception, there’s only 1 ticket. He’ll be the only one at the Super Bowl while they watch from the hotel.
