GREENSBORO, N.C. – An early morning flurry on Sunday has treated the area to its first snow of 2016.

The National Weather Service said that a combination of rain and snow would become all snow after 10 a.m. and then taper off as the day progressed.

Sunday would start out cloudy and gradually warm to a high near 41 degrees, according to NWS.

The NWS said that a daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch was possible.
