Greensboro police called to baseball field after victim shot

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Police in Greensboro are investigating after somebody suffered a minor gunshot wound Saturday afternoon, according to authorities.

Greensboro police were called to the baseball field behind 601 Doak St., the Windsor Recreation Center, in reference to a call that someone had been shot.

Officers arriving to the scene found a victim suffering a minor gunshot wound, according to police. The name of the victim and circumstances surrounding the incident has not been released.

The suspect allegedly left the area before police arrived and the victim could not provide any information about the suspect. The investigation is ongoing and no other details were immediately available.
