Man found dead in Rockingham County home; death investigated as homicide

EDEN, N.C. — A man was found dead inside a Rockingham County home on Friday morning and deputies are investigating it as a homicide.

Authorities said 32-year-old Benjamin Alexander Baker was found dead at his home at 830 Beck Road northeast of Eden at 10:49 a.m.

A friend was checking on a friend and found him dead at the home, according to the sheriff’s office.

Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page said the death is being investigated as a homicide. The investigation is ongoing.
