Car goes down embankment near Deep River in Jamestown; driver not hurt

JAMESTOWN, N.C. -- A driver went off the road and down an embankment near the Deep River in Jamestown, but was not seriously injured.

The driver went off the road near the Deep River bridge on Harvey Road near River Road at about 5 p.m. Friday.

The driver said he saw something in the road, fishtailed and went off the road. He was not seriously injured but was taken to the hospital as a precaution.

The driver was about 100 feet from Deep River when the vehicle came to a stop.
