This local teen keeps a very busy schedule.

Eighteen-year-old Mohammad Malik is a senior at Wheatmore High School in Trinity.

He's president of the student body and still finds time to volunteer at an area hospital every day after school.

Malik, who takes all advanced courses, even found time to lead the student body in organizing the school's first homecoming parade.

He hopes to study biology at Wake Forest University or the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in the fall.
