THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Thomasville police are searching for a suspect after a break-in at a local gun store.

Officers responded to the Split Second Response gun store, located at 7 W. Main St., at 4:10 a.m. on Sunday.

The front glass of the business had been smashed in, but the owner told officers nothing appeared to be stolen.

Video surveillance showed the suspect driving a 1990s Dodge pickup truck.

Footage from inside the business showed the suspect with a covered face, wearing a backpack and carrying a bag. When the audible alarm sounded, the suspect fled without taking anything.

Police are investigating to see if the recent break-in may be related to a break-in that occurred on June 22, where two suspects entered the business but also left empty-handed.

Anyone with information is asked to call Thomasville police at (336) 475-4284.
