STOKESDALE, N.C. – Two suspects have been arrested and charged with murder after a body was found in the parking lot of a Stokesdale restaurant.

Jesse Lee McCollum, 17, of Madison, and Blaine Alexander Camp, 18, of Danbury, N.C., face first-degree murder charges in connection to the death of Lopez Anthony Dalton of Reidsville.

Dalton’s body was found after sheriff’s deputies were called to the parking lot of the Huddle House at 2301 US-220 shortly before 3 a.m. Saturday. Dalton had been the victim of a shooting, according to deputies.

McCollum and Camp are being held without bond at the Rockingham County Detention Facility and scheduled to appear in District Court on January 11.

Details about a motive in the crime have not been released.

Deputies said this shooting is not believed to be connected to the fatal Christmas Day shooting at a Reidsville home which resulted in the arrests of two Greensboro men.
