REIDSVILLE, N.C. – Two men have been arrested after a man was shot and killed during a family gathering on Christmas.

King Justice “K.J.” Wray, 27, and Deshawn Letterlough, 26, both of Greensboro, face charges in connection to the death of 38-year-old Reginald Jermaine Grayson of Elon.

Deputies said the shooting happened at about 8 p.m. Christmas at a family gathering at a home at 116 Pineview Lane in Reidsville.

Wray arrived at the home and started arguing with Grayson and things escalated, according to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office.

Wray allegedly pulled out a handgun during the argument and shot Grayson, killing him. Wray then left the scene in a vehicle driven by Letterlough, who was also at the gathering, according to deputies.

Deputies said other people from the home followed the vehicle and alerted the police about the incident.

The suspects allegedly led Guilford County sheriff’s deputies and Greensboro police on a chase. Wray’s vehicle exited U.S. 29 bypass near Lee St., allegedly striking a Greensboro police vehicle.

Deputies said the two suspects tried to get out of the vehicle and run off, but were apprehended by Guilford County sheriff’s deputies and Greensboro police officers.

Wray has been charged with first degree murder and placed in the Rockingham County Jail under no bond. Letterlough has been charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
