18-year-old WSSU student shot, killed in Raleigh

RALEIGH, N.C. — A Winston-Salem State University student was shot and killed Wednesday in Raleigh, according to the Winston-Salem Journal.

Raleigh police said an 18-year-old woman was killed and another teen was injured in a shooting Wednesday night, according to The Associated Press.

Multiple media outlets reported that officers were called to a shooting around 9:45 p.m. Kari Onyea Watson was pronounced dead at the scene.

Eighteen-year-old Dre’kwon Bagley was taken to WakeMed hospital for treatment of a leg wound. No arrests have been reported. Police have not released a possible motive.
