Alamance County man, his son charged in Caswell store break-ins

YANCEYVILLE, N.C. — The Caswell County Sheriff’s Office said break-ins at two Caswell County stores Saturday were a family affair.

According to the sheriff’s office, Samuel Albright Brown Jr., 50, of 1232 Hardwood Drive, Snow Camp, and his son, Samuel Albright Brown III, 26, of 524 Bethel St, Apt. A, Gibsonville, were two of three men charged.

David Lee Saunders, 31, of 1025 Clark Road, Snow Camp, was the third man arrested. Deputies arrested the trio during a traffic stop. A 2015 Kia Soul, multiple burglary tools and items that had been reported stolen from the break-ins were seized by investigators.

The sheriff’s office said the trio broke into Chilton’s Grocery, at 12134 N.C. 150, Reidsville, and Three Point Grocery, at 11126 N.C. 62 South, Burlington.
