Thousands of cases of chocolates are being pulled from Walmart shelves because of a fear of allergies.

The candy maker, Mars, says it is recalling 6,700 cases of Dove’s chocolate assortment snowflakes because the items may contain some other candy including pieces of Snickers, Milky Way and Twix.

The company said they are concerned about consumers with peanut, wheat and egg allergies which are ingredients in the other candies.

The Dove chocolate snowflakes are sold only at Walmart stores in 24-ounce bags between Sept. 19 and Dec. 1.

The chocolates were distributed to 35 states, but North Carolina was not one of them. No injuries have been reported.

Mars said anyone with allergy concerns should return the product to the store for a full refund.
