Greensboro police investigate stabbing that resulted in serious injury

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Police in Greensboro are investigating a stabbing that sent a victim to the hospital with a serious, but non-life-threatening injury.

Police responded to the incident in the 400 block of Beech Street shortly before 11:30 p.m. Friday in reference to an assault.

Officers arriving on the scene found the victim suffering from a stab wound, according to police. The victim was then taken to the hospital.

Police said the suspect was known to the victim and was subsequently arrested, but had not been charged as of shortly after midnight Saturday.

Greensboro police have not released a motive in the crime or any information about the circumstances that led to the stabbing. The investigation is ongoing.
