Man in Burlington charged with assault with a deadly weapon

BURLINGTON, N.C. – Police in Burlington have arrested a man accused of assaulting another person with a knife.

Scott Gary Gibson, 57, faces charges of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He was placed in the Alamance County Jail under a $30,000 secured bond.

Police responded to the 1300 Block of Cloverdale Street shortly after 11:30 a.m. Thursday in reference to a caller reporting a stabbing.

The victim was taken to Alamance Regional Medical Center where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
