WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A Winston-Salem man who was arrested on Sunday for allegedly kidnapping a 5-year-old girl is now facing new charges.

Calvin Fluitt, Jr., of 3816 Sawyer Street, was charged with indecent liberties with a minor on Dec. 8.

After the alleged kidnapping, the 5-year-old’s mother told Winston-Salem police that Fluitt inappropriately touched her daughter at his home in June.

Fluitt’s first-degree kidnapping charge stems from an incident on Dec. 6.

Officers with the Winston-Salem Police Department responded to a kidnapping call at New Hope Lane and Cleveland Avenue just before 6 p.m.

The victim’s mother told police that Fluitt had her daughter in his black 2001 Volkswagen Jetta. Eventually, she was able to remove the child and call police.

Fluitt is being held on a $25,000 bond in addition to the $200,000 bond for the kidnapping incident. His first court appearance is scheduled for Jan. 7, 2016.
