Investigators seek leads in arson of Winston-Salem apartment

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — The Winston-Salem Police Department is investigating an apartment fire as a case of arson.

Officers responded to 1812 Salem Crest Lane at 12:27 a.m. Wednesday to assist the Winston-Salem Fire Department with an apartment fire.

The fire was contained to a single apartment and no one was home at the time.

An investigation revealed that the apartment had damage indicating forced entry and that the fire had been intentionally set.
